Introduced as Sheldon’s brainiac rival in Season 2, the middle Cooper child’s life was turned upside down the moment he met Paige. Hesitant to get to know her, Paige was the first intellectual challenge that Sheldon ever had, making her time in Young Sheldon essential.

Fast forward to Season 3 and Paige has transitioned into rebel mode, infamously dying her hair pink after her parents got divorced. In Season 6, she’s revealed to be a school dropout, trying to steal a truck with Missy to drive to Florida.

While Paige’s life is incredibly chaotic, is she set to return to Young Sheldon in Season 7? Here’s everything we know.

Is Paige returning to Young Sheldon?

According to reports, Paige is set to make her return in the Young Sheldon Season 7 finale.

Paige – portrayed by McKenna Grace – has been confirmed to appear in new episodes thanks to a few behind-the-scenes snaps from Raegan Revord, who plays Missy. Sharing a selfie of the two on Instagram in January 2024, we know this will have come from the current season as the cast is still partway through filming.

While Paige was only a small part of Season 6, it does make sense for her to appear in Season 7, given that fans will be looking to understand why she was never featured in The Big Bang Theory. At this point, viewers can only assume that the two naturally went their separate ways, particularly given Paige’s chaotic new personality.

However, Paige’s conclusion in Young Sheldon Season 7 remains a hotly debated topic in the Sheldon-verse.

“She’ll probably get a relatively happy ending where she makes amends with her mother who might be getting back together with her father, but if she’s either getting or appearing in the new spin-off then adult Sheldon will narrate that her life went through a lot of ups and mostly down after that,” one Reddit user muses.

Another disagrees, stating “We do see that she is rebelling and getting Missy into it with her (Missy is rebelling as well, but not as much as Paige). Paige just wants to be a regular teenager but the demands on her are not allowing it We just seen her and Missy run away together, and Paige might just try to get Missy to run away with her again, but Missy doesn’t want to anymore, resulting in a big fight and Paige leaving in her own. And that will be the last we see of her (maybe a mention by narrator Sheldon that she ends up OK in the end to ease everyone’s minds).”
