Omni-Man and Mark in Invicible Season 2

Mark’s journey after a shocking revelation continues in Invincible Season 2 as they have announced the release date for Part 2.

Invincible has become the most-talked-about superhero series among fans for good reason. In a world of superheroes, there’s one villain disguised as well-loved villain among them proven to be Omni-Man himself. His son Mark embarked on his own hero journey but never expected to be foes with his own father.

Invincible Season 2 was announced to be split into two parts with the first having only four episodes. Fans have been clamoring for news on Part 2 as Mark learned Omni-Man has an entire new family on an alien planet.

The release date for part two has been released, here’s everything we know.

Invincible Season 2 Part 2 release date

Part 2 of Season 2 was announced to be released on March 14, 2024.

Mark has a lot on his plate going into Part 2. Despite what his father has told him, he ventured to a new alien planet, Thraxa, and fathered a new family. He’s even formed a bond with them compared to how he described humans and Mark being replacable. Season 2 Part 2 ended in a bloody battle as the Viltrumites go after them both. As Mark proves his strength, he’s tasked by them to prepare Earth for their arrival. It’s now up to mark since Omni-Man failed in his mission.

Part 2 will be comprised of four episodes that will release on a weekly schedule. Some fans were dismayed at the decision to split the season.

Creator Robert Kirkman told Collider, “It’s a little bit of the production process just because ramping things up has taken a lot longer than we thought. But also this is something that we’ve done with every season of The Walking Dead, and I think narratively, it’s kind of cool to have that pause to digest what you’ve just experienced. And when you see Episode 4 of Season 2, you may need a break. It’s a big episode. It’s definitely a mid-season finale kind of episode.”

He also explained that the holidays were taking place at the time and series can often “get lost in the shuffle.” A mid-season break allowed for people to get more excited for the series return.

Some fans are inevitbaly excited regardless of the long hiatus. One fan on X/Twitter said, “LETS FREAKING GOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Another said they will be glued to their screens on the release date, “Me to my TV on March 14th.”

But some reactions to the news don’t bode well as fans have to wait another few months to see the final four epsiodes of Season 2. With the way Part 1 ended, fans will likely still tune in.
