Kyle Stille hasn’t made his debut in Season 11 of Below Deck, but fans are already skeptical about him because of one detail.

We have had a lot of crew members come in and out of the Below Deck franchise, yet a surprising number of them have the same first name.

From Mediterranean’s Kyle Viljoen to BD Adventure’s Kyle Dickard, there have been a total of three Kyle’s on the show so far. However, according to fans, they are three for three when it comes to not having a Kyle they enjoy on their screens.

Nonetheless, the streak of Kyle’s continues as Season 11 will introduce Kyle Stille, who is set to be a Deckhand and work under Captain Kerry Kitheradge in his first season as the leader, taking over Captain Lee Rosbach’s OG position.

While the season hasn’t even started yet, because of his name, he already has some pressure against him.

What is the Below Deck Kyle curse?

On February 4, BD viewers took to Reddit to share their initial thoughts on Season 11 before it premieres.
It was during this thread that some expressed their view of the ‘Kyle Curse’ and how the new deckhand will fit into that.

One fan wrote, “The Below Decks so far have had 3 Kyles (this will be number 4) and each one has been awful. I wonder if the new Kyle will finally break the Vile Kyle Curse!”

Another fan chimed in and wrote, “Lol Kyle is always a douchebag name. Every Kyle I’ve met has been an a**hole, and that includes my own brother.”

Viewers will soon see if Kyle is going to be able to prove the fans and their name-based impression of him wrong during this season, or if he fails to break the Kyle curse.
