Pokemon Go player explains amazing trick to get more spawns in Horizons event
The Pokemon CompanyThe Horizons event is in full swing in Pokemon Go and fans are finding new ways to make it more lucrative for themselves. One player shared a top tip to get more Pokemon spawns.
Have you checked out the Pokemon Horizons event yet? It’s introduced some fan-favorite Pokemon to the game, like Charcadet, Armarouge, and Ceruledge, and there are some other perks like more frequent Team Rocket balloons, too.
One Pokemon Go player took to r/pokemongo lately to reveal their top tip for finding even more Pokemon spawns than usual using one of the Horizons event features, using the character pop-ups on Snapshot screens.
Pokemon Go player shares useful Horizons event PSA
Pokemon Go player MithonOsborne took to Reddit recently to share their advice with the community in this post, sharing a screenshot of a Captain Pikachu encounter.
MithonOsborne encouraged players to “do AR photos with specifically Pokemon from the new show (Like Charizard, Pikachu, etc) and get surprise encounters”, noting that they’d found 2 Pikachu spawns in this manner and that the spawns could be Shiny.
Some players in the replies thanked MithonOsborne for the PSA, with one player commenting “I kid you not, I read your post and then loaded my game, and on my third snapshot, I got a shiny Pikachu. Thank you!!”
Another person in the replies excitedly thanked MithonOsborne after a lucky attempt, saying that “Ayo bro you reminded me and I got the shiny, I love you sm rn.”
Other players shared which Pokemon they’d found in this manner, with lots of them noting that the Paldean Starters were incredibly common spawns. One disgruntled Pokemon Go player declared “I want all the Fuecocos to burn by their own flame.”
A few people in the replies added to the original post, noting that the Pokemon you take pictures of to trigger the Snapshot event does not have to be from the show. Additionally, there is still a cap on how many encounters you can get in this way.
If you’ve not logged on and checked out the Horizons event yet, it is absolutely worth it. Shiny hunters will have a blast with this event as there are increased spawns for popular ‘mons like Scyther, Nosepass, and Beldum and they can show up as Shinies.
