Pokemon Day is an annual celebration to mark the anniversary of Pokemon Red & Green launching in Japan. During the festivities, The Pokemon Company holds a livestream to announce new titles and updates to existing games.
With the release of Scarlet & Violet’s epilogue, fans were speculating if the livestream was going to announce the Generation 10 games.

Everything revealed during Pokemon Day 2024 livestream
Game Freak/The Pokemon CompanyPokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raids
The Generation 9 games will host a trio of 7-star Tera Raid events featuring Mighty Charizard, Mighty Venusaur, and Mighty Blastoise. The Tera Raids will take place from February 28, 2024, to March 17, 2024, with Venusaur kicking things off.
Pokemon Go event
Pokemon Go will collaborate with the Horizons anime for a special event occurring from March 5, 2024, to March 11, 2024. The festivities will mark the debut of Charcadet and the new costumed Pokemon -Captain’s Cap Pikachu.
Pokemon Sleep gets new Legendaries
The sleep-tracking application will officially add the trio of Generation 2 Legendaries – Entei, Raikou, and Suicune – starting with the Electric-type in March 2024.
Pokemon Masters EX receives new teams
To celebrate its 4.5-year anniversary, Pokemon Masters EX will introduce Geeta and Glimmora on February 28, 2024, followed by Silver and Tyranitar on March 1, 2024. Sygna Suit Gladion and Magearna will also be featured with the Photo Creator.
Pokemon Cafe Remix gets Gimmighoul
The free-to-play puzzle game has introduced Gimmighoul Coin rewards alongside more outfits and the addition of Koraidon and Miraidon.
Pokemon Unite gets Gen 9 legendary
Pokemon Unite revealed that Miraidon has already joined the game’s lineup, with Falinks coming in April and Ceruledge debuting on an unknown date. Players can also redeem the POKEDAY24 code for a 3-day Miraidon limited license and a platinum Miraidon boost emblem.
Pokemon Trading Card Pocket
Releasing sometime in 2024, Pokemon Trading Card Pocket is a mobile game focused on collecting trading cards. It allows trainers to virtually open trading card packs, trade with their friends, and even battle against them.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A was arguably the biggest reveal of Pokemon Day 2024. Despite not launching until 2025, many fans of the Legends franchise are already anticipating the return of the beloved format.

Pokemon Day always falls on February 27 to commemorate the launch of 1996’s Pokemon Red & Green in Japan. This means we will have to wait until February 27, 2025, for the next Pokemon Day.
