Retired LEGO Star Wars sets still in stock at Walmart

We’ve rounded up all the latest retired LEGO Star Wars sets still available at Walmart. Some come at a premium, though. Here’s what you can expect. 

Thought you’d never get your hands on the retired Star Wars-inspired LEGO sets you desire? Of course, they mustn’t be unboxed. You want to enjoy the satisfying feeling of peeling open the box and the immersive building experience provided by each when clicking together their bricks.  

Well, if you missed out, you needn’t worry all that much. Indeed, a trio of discontinued LEGO Star Wars kits is still available from Walmart. What’s more, they are still box-fresh, unopened, and ready to be built (that’s what LEGOs were made for, after all). 

However, some of these discontinued sets come at a premium. LEGO bricks have, indeed, become an investment. Yes, you’re not mistaken. They are worth their weight in gold.

Take, for example, the LEGO DC 1989 Batmobile, which is still available at Walmart. This retired set’s value has increased by 128%. Then, coming back to LEGO Star Wars, the discontinued LEGO Star Wars Y-Wing Starfighter and A-wing Starfighter, both of which are still in stock at Amazon, have also seen a price increase.

But can you really put a price on the LEGO set you’ve always wanted but has been retired, especially when they are inspired by the galaxy far, far away? We have rounded up the latest discontinued LEGO Star Wars models that are still available at Walmart. Here’s what you can expect. 

1. LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren’s Shuttle — 75256

A host of box-fresh LEGO Star Wars sets was penned in for 2024 release, with the most notable of these coming in the shape of the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary sets. However, these celebratory models will only be available from March 1, 2024.

So, while you wait to grab them online or in stores, how about investing in already-retired Star Wars-inspired LEGO? If you want to, why not consider the LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren’s Shuttle?

It’s pricey, though. Indeed, like most retired LEGO Star Wars sets, this kit comes at a premium. 

Discontinued in 2021, the LEGO-reimagined Kylo Ren’s Shuttle had a lifespan of just over two years. However, although being available for quite some time and many examples were most likely sold, this hasn’t stopped its value from increasing. 

So, by how much has its price increased? In short, by nearly $160 (or around 120%). 

But, bar its post-retirement pricing, what can you expect from this set? Designed for Star Wars fans aged 10 and up, it has to be included as one of the best Star Wars sets for kids ever produced.

Comprising 1005 pieces, this set includes an array of neat features, such as wings that fold when you rotate the right-hand engine. A cockpit and lowering access ramp are also present, while the duo of spring-loaded shooters allows you to relive battle action. The completed ship measures eight inches nose to tail and 19 inches wide. 

Of course, you’ll need characters to recreate iconic scenes. Six are included. There are Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, General Pryde, a Sith Trooper, a First Order Stormtrooper, and two Knights of Ren.

2. LEGO Star Wars Dark Trooper Helmet — 75343

Fancy expanding your LEGO Star Wars Helmet collection but missed out on the LEGO Star Wars Dark Trooper Helmet before it was discontinued with every LEGO Star Wars set retiring at the end of 2023? Well, fortunately, Walmart still has stock. It comes at a price, though. 

Indeed, before its retirement, this set would — ahem — set you back $69.99. However, although only a few months have passed since then, this kit’s asking price has increased by nearly 30%. If you do the math (or just check Walmart’s website, for that matter), this model is now priced at $90.95. 

However, before this retired LEGO Star Wars set’s value increases even further, a premium of nearly $21 is arguably not too bad. Besides, it’s a worthy addition to your LEGO Star Wars collection. 

Comprising 693 pieces, this Star Wars-inspired set accurately replicates a Dark Trooper’s helmet. It even boasts a combination of translucent red elements to recreate the shining eyes of a Dark Trooper. The completed model measures seven inches tall, four-and-a-half inches wide, and six inches deep. 

3. LEGO BrickHeadz Battle of Endor Heroes — 40623

Of the every LEGO BrickHeadz sets retiring in 2023, this was one of two Star Wars-inspired BrickHeadz kits. However, featuring five characters from the galaxy far, far away, this was arguably the one that Star Wars fans aged 10 and up were most gloomy about to see going. 

Fortunately, this set is still available at Walmart and, what’s more, has seen a price cut of $11.91. Thanks to this, this kit’s post-retirement price has been reduced to what it would have cost you originally. That’s $39.99, if you were wondering. 

The brick-built characters included in this 549-piece kit are Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2, and Wicket. The latter also holds a spear, while the model of Luke has a green lightsaber. 

Missed out on these kits when they were still (officially) available? Well, look no further. You can. Of course, some of them come at an increased price. But, then again, if you really desire them, why not get your hands on them now while there are still fresh examples available.
