Kick sends Twitch a Valentine’s Day card to squash their beef

Streaming platform Kick has sent their biggest rival, Twitch, a Valentine’s Day card to settle their differences.

In early 2023, a new platform began to make waves in the streaming community. Kick broke onto the scene, signing numerous high-profile talent like xQc, Amouranth, and more from Twitch, directly competing with the Amazon-owned platform.

Not only that – Kick even enticed smaller streamers to make the jump to their new platform, offering a significantly better revenue split for creators.

But, as their rivalry continues, Kick has sent a peace offering to Twitch with a heartfelt Valentine’s Day card.

Kick asks Twitch to be their Valentine with love letter

On February 14, couples across the world celebrate Valentine’s Day with love and joy, and Kick has even joined in. In a post on Twitter/X, the streaming platform sent a love letter to its rival Twitch.

“Although we have had our ups and downs over the last year, I just want to say I love you and appreciate you,” the message read.

“I hope you can forgive me for all of the top qaulity memes made at your expense. Please be my Valentine – Love Kick xo.”

Since Kick’s launch, the platform has repeatedly poked fun and fired shots at Twitch whenever given the opportunity. But, despite their best efforts to make up with a bit of love, the Amazon-owned platform hasn’t accepted their V-Day message, nor even acknowledged it.

Regardless, Kick viewers found the post rather amusing, to say the least. “Haha love this! Happy Valentine,” one user wrote in the replies. “YES!!! This is amazing!!” said another.

With that said, it seems their rivalry is only going to get bigger as time goes on. Recently, Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani revealed the streaming platform turned down a staggering $1 billion buyout offer despite only launching just over a year ago.
