Twitch star Grefg has now blasted Epic Games after they refused to make changes to his Fortnite skin according to his demands. Here’s what the streamer told his viewers.

Fortnite, the leading Battle Royale game has produced streamers such as Ninja, SypherPK, and many more who have become internet celebrities and amassed a massive, loyal fan base. There is a sizable audience in Europe that watches the game streamed, so it’s not just only players in the US who are into it.

Along with prominent European broadcasters such as BenjyFishy and Mongraal, Grefg, also known as TheGrefG, is a top Spanish streaming celebrity with a massive Twitch following. After getting their hands on a Fortnite ICON skin on January 17, 2021, the streamer went on to hold a Floor is Lava tournament where players could win the cosmetic set for free.

In light of Epic’s latest v28.10 update, which gave the ICON series skins a LEGO appearance, Grefg says he contacted the developers to have their Fortnite skin’s face model changed to meet their likeness. However, the streamer has now openly criticized Epic on his stream after discovering that they declined to meet his demands.

Fortnite star Grefg blasts at Epic after they refused to change his skin model

In a recent stream in preparation for the re-release of Fortnite ICON series skins in the Item Shop, Grefg revealed that they requested Epic to change the face model of his skin. He told viewers (translated from Spanish), “I must admit it live, yes I tried to tell Fortnite, hey why don’t we take advantage? Now that LEGO styles are coming to my skin. Change my face model to look like me maybe after all those memes?”

Grefg then continued with Epic’s response to his request and said (translated from Spanish), “They told me to eat s**t. I’m kidding, they didn’t tell me that. But they said ‘yes yes we are going to put your real face on your skin but it will not be now since we’re very busy with all the updates.’ I’m sorry for asking for a change to my face three years later but how can I use something like that?”

He continued, “It’s better that in 2069 we change the face of my skin. I’m sorry Epic for asking for something like that. What I’m telling you seems crazy.” Fans of the streamer supported them and turned in their comments on their stream as well as on social media.

One fan said, “That’s a slap in the face.” Another commented, “Epic said who even are you.” On the other hand, various Fortnite players opposed this move by Grefg and replied, “I mean I don’t even understand why he’s complaining, not everyone gets the opportunity to have their very own skin in a game.”

While the drama between Grefg’s community and Fortnite continues, the latest 28.10 update brought some significant changes to the core Battle Royale and LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival game modes.
