Before the competition started, three of the participating content creators were asked how they envision the tournament playing out.

Popular YouTuber Lachlan ‘Lachlan’ Ross Power predicted that he would perform well, but did not pick himself to win.

“I’m probably going to come, well I’m aiming for like 25-30th, you know? Be humble. As far as who’s going to win, probably King Richard or Ninja.”

Australian Youtuber Elliott ‘MrMuselk’ Watkins had high expectations for himself coming into the event.

“I reckon today I’m going in for a solid second place by hiding in a bush. Ultimately, not going to be able to get the final win, but I’m going to settle for second and maybe steal the trophy later.

Popular content creator Vikram ‘Vikkstar123’ Singh Barn was very hopeful that his Fortnite abilities would get him to the top.

“Hopefully I’m going to be picking up the Golden Pickaxe!”
