A Reddit user named Unreal-Memes has shared a hot tip for players who are constantly missing their sniper shots. They went on to explain how the 4x optic on a Sniper Rifle actually works in the game. In the image above, they displayed how the second line down on the crosshair is perfect for shots at targets within 100 m, the third for within 175 m, the fourth for within 225 m, and finally, the fifth line for targets within 300 m. Anything below that is beyond 300 m and is mostly used for shots with a bullet drop impact.
Upon seeing this ingenious trick, several players had their own opinions and one such player said, “Technically the + should be dialed at 100m.” Another chimed in, “You can use the map markers to measure the distance just in case.”
A third added, “This is insanely helpful maybe now I can snipe.” A fourth user commented, “This is useful in games where you’re actually sniping, as in trying to hit stationary targets. In Fortnite, sniping anything moving at 200-300 m is almost pure luck if it’s a headshot, and hitting anything from 0-100 meters is so easy that you barely need to lead at all.”
