EA SPORTS are set to reveal a brand new selection of FUT Birthday promo cards in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team to celebrate its 11th year running, so run through the start time of the event and our predictions.
The popular game mode has seen many different player cards given significant boosts to celebrate its birthday, leaving fans wondering who will be picked this time – particularly because many football leagues have been suspended due to the global pandemic situation.
While no picks have been officially made at the time of writing, we can tell you that this side is usually built up of cards popular in this year’s game or those gone by. Fast players have always tended to be the most popular in the mode, so let’s take a look at when the FUT Birthday promos will be announced for FIFA 20, who could feature, and what other bonus content we should expect to see roll out in the coming days.
The event is set to officially kick off on March 27 and EA confirmed as much on Twitter, dropping a little teaser. It could even give us an indication of the card color for this year’s team, too, with a light blue background featuring. With TOTW now seemingly canceled in its usual form, this will be a welcome addition of new content – when it arrives.
Promo teams are usually announced at 3PM (GMT) and put into packs three hours later. We would expect the same to happen this time around.

Many players will know by now that the team that usually comes with it isn’t usually the only part of the celebration. In fact, last year there were 21 player Squad Building Challenges, 10 Prime ICON Moments, 6 players with objectives, and streamers were dropping rewards for watching along on Twitch as well.
Previous years have seen EA SPORTS add SBCs based around End of an Era players, which have featured the likes of Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres and more. Will we see more of that? We’ll have to wait and see, but let’s jump right into the predictions.
There are tons of options for this years FUT Birthday team, with 21 players set to feature in what could be the fastest promo team players will see the game release. That being said, let’s take a look at our picks.
Whether or not any of these will be included in the actual team remains to be seen, but you can celebrate FUT Birthday by picking up one of the official selections from the market when they’re eventually added to packs.
As noted, SBCs will also be part of this limited time event – which usually lasts around 10 days. Once we know exactly who will feature in this promo, we’ll let you know. Until then, fire over some of your own predictions to us on Twitter @UltimateTeamUK.
