FIFA 22 has been riddled with errors and in the latest blunder, EA released a Shapeshifters Stephen El Shaarary SBC card with incorrect stats.

The FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account has been very active this year, as FIFA 22 players have had to deal with several mistakes by the FIFA EA Sports team.

Most Recently, A Year in Review Player Pick SBC unintentionally included the Fantasy FUT Christen Eriksen item. One week earlier, players received compensation after the EFIGS TOTS Upgrade SBC gave out incorrect rewards.

This time around, A Stephen El Shaarawy player item was released with incorrect stats and disgruntled players voiced their displeasure on Reddit.

FIFA 22 fans slam incorrect Shapeshifters El Shaarawy SBC

Shapeshifters is a fan favorite yearly FIFA promo that moves players into new positions with upgraded stats. Some examples include striker cards for Marcelo and Sergio Ramos and a right-winger card for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The EA Sports communication team tweeted an update regarding the issue.

The upgraded Stephen El Shaarawy card will have two more agility points, 11 more jumping points, three additional strength points, and one more curve attribute point.

A Reddit user started a thread discussing EA Sports releasing the wrong Stephen El Shaarary player item. One Reddit user commented, “can’t think of a game where they have made this many mistakes.” Another user added, “this is happening pretty often now.”

Despite the backlash, El Shaarawy cards are usually fantastic in-game and this player item shapes up to be a deadly central attacking option. El Shaarawy is silky on the ball in FIFA and his dribbling is perfect for breaking down defenders in the attacking third.

The Roma winger previously received an 86 overall RTTF player item that was extremely popular.

Make sure to complete the SBC yourself and give the player item a try. Also, keep an eye on all of our FIFA 23 coverage leading up to the new title.
