Is Methodz set to leave OpTic Gaming’s CoD team?

The competitive Call of Duty community continues to wait for OpTic Gaming to announce their roster changes, one of which many expect to be the departure of Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni.

Several insider sources within the community, including the infamous and mysterious ‘CoDBurner,’ have claimed that OpTic’s decision to part ways with Methodz has already been sealed.

This would mean that OpTic, who have already let Sam ‘Octane’ Larew go, will have to bring in three new players to complete their five-man roster.

However, the CWL recently revealed that teams must keep at least three players from their WWII roster if they want their Pro League status from the previous season to count towards qualification for CWL Vegas – the first event of the Black Ops 4 campaign.

This recent development has led to many questioning whether OpTic will risk losing their Pro League status by releasing Methodz, or if they’ll decide to keep him on the roster after all.

Apparently, the qualification announcement has not fazed the org, as recent Twitter activity, spotted by eagle-eyed Reddit users, has further hinted at Methodz leaving the team.

According to a social media tracking website called ‘doesfollow,’ Methodz has unfollowed Optic teammates Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter on Twitter, despite the fact that they still follow him.

While this does not conclusively reveal anything, it does go in line with the speculation of Methodz’s departure, which seems to be gaining more and more momentum as the off-season rolls on.
