Palworld players want the devs to turn meme into a Pal

The Palworld subreddit is asking the developers to add a new Pal based on a classic meme that would fit right in.

Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm since its early access launch earlier this month, breaking Steam records and attracting million of players.

It’s safe to say that “Pokemon with guns” is appealing to a lot of gamers, particularly those looking for a more adult approach to the monster-catching genre. This is an area where the game undeniably delivers thanks to mechanics like killing Pals for materials, capturing humans, and edgy Pal designs like one based off a noose and another said to lust after humans.

Now, some Palworld players are hoping the devs take things even further with future Pal designs, including one based on a meme.

Palworld players want a Glocktopus Pal

As Reddit user love-4-music said in a post on the Palworld subreddit, the devs “have the means” to add a Glocktopus Pal to the game.

Given Glocktopus is just an octopus with guns in each of its tentacles, it would certainly fit into Palworld.

Some even compared it to the Pokemon Octillery, an octopus introduced in the Generation 2 games that is also based on weaponry and references artillery and tanks in its English and Japanese names.

Other commenters have suggested similar Pal concepts, some of which are also meme-based, such as a crab with a knife, an Austin Powers-inspired laser shark, or even a rival sea creature.

“Hear me out, it has a rival: the krAKan,” said one commenter.

If this Pal were to become a reality, it wouldn’t be the first time Glocktopus has made it into a video game. Indie roguelike Exit the Gungeon features Glocktopus as an optional final boss, which was included as a result of fan demand for such a creature.
