A dad on TikTok watched Saltburn and had the perfect, most disgusted reaction.

Saltburn debuted with mostly positive reviews from critics. Many viewers applauded the film’s bold storytelling and willingness to go over the edge. But not everyone has been a fan.

Over the Christmas holiday, a young woman showed the film to her family and was later instructed to “take a walk” after they were disgusted by what they watched.

On TikTok, a father was told to watch the film by his daughter, and his reactions to the bathtub and the grave scenes were priceless.

A dad’s reaction to Saltburn has viewers in stitches

A dad watched Saltburn after his daughter told him it was “brilliant.” He shared voice memos over text of him reacting to certain shocking scenes, as documented by a now-viral TikTok.

“I thought you said Saltburn was good. It’s a bit f*cking weird, Scarlet,” he said. “He’s just started licking out the bath after the lad’s had a, well, wanking it. Not sure I can watch this.”

His daughter then responded, “I told you it’s weird…”

“You didn’t say it was weird. You said it was brilliant,” he retorted.

Later, the dad shared his disgust when the gravesite scene came on. “Is he about to have a wank over a grave? He’s shagging a grave, isn’t he? Rach, he’s shagging a grave! What the f*ck… I’m out! I’m done!”

According to Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan himself, he improvised much of the grave scene. “I just wanted to explore and grow with the character, and figure him out,” he said.

“I asked for a closed set. I said ‘I want to try something’. And I just wanted to see what I’d do as Oliver when action happens and where I went,” he continued. “And to me, he just went to a place of being totally heart-broken, and lost, and confused.”

Saltburn is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
