Rebirth Island was announced to arrive sometime in 2024 at last year’s COD Next, although no exact date was announced. That said, a new data mine indicates it might be coming sooner than you think.

Rebirth Island is one of Warzone‘s most beloved maps, as the Resurgence mode fan-favorite provided nonstop action. Modern Warfare 2’s arrival marked the shelving of Rebirth Island, and it’s been gone ever since.

Last year’s COD Next provided a welcome update for Rebirth hopefuls, being that the map would return in 2024, and so would Fortune’s Keep. Season 2 of Warzone brought the latter, but no update has been shared on when the former will arrive.

That said, new signs point to a return of Rebirth Island, at least sooner than anticipated.

Rebirth Island rumored to arrive in Warzone Season 3

It hasn’t been all quiet since the developers shared Rebirth would return. In January, Raven Software shared an image of the Specialist Package returning, another feature that’s been absent for some time. The image itself was captured on one of Rebirth’s water towers, most likely indicating both could return together.

According to data miners, numerous references titled “s3_rebirth” have been found in the game’s files. Provided this is true, this would fall in line with the “early 2024” window shared at COD Next.

As mentioned, fan sentiment on Rebirth is extremely high, due to its constant higher pace of play. Many of the comments to the data mines were happy to see it returning, although a few were hesitant Warzone’s content may be dry later on in the year after such a heavy focus on returning favorites.

Season 2 began on February 7, and again, if this info proves correct, Rebirth Island would return to Warzone in April alongside Season 3.
