Solo Leveling’s Statue of God sent chills down our spine in the first two episodes. The Statue’s smile was downright creepy, and that particular scene made everyone remember yet another creepy character from a fan-favorite series.

A-1 Pictures started this year by giving the community Solo Leveling, the anime adaptation fans have craved for years. The studio is known for its incredible work with series like Sword Art Online, so fans clearly had huge expectations from their latest project.

Of course, the series still has a long way to go, but it’s safe to say that so far, the anime series has been nothing short of spectacular.

There were several good moments in the first three episodes of Solo Leveling, but one thing that has left a mark on the industry is definitely the Statue of God, especially his smile.

AoT fans compare the Statue of God with the Titans

Attack on Titan is known for its dark aesthetics, a tone that is also seen in Solo Leveling. Of course, these two series have completely different storylines, but one thing that we can’t ignore is the similarity between the Statue of God and the Titans, especially the Titan that ate Eren’s mother.

In the first episode of Attack on Titan, we see Eren’s mother getting eaten by a female Titan. This was an abnormal Titan who always had a smile on her face.

On the contrary, the Statue of God is the ultimate puppet of the Architect, who reigns down terror on Sung Jin-Woo’s entire crew after giving a chilling smile. Now, anyone who’s watched AoT will agree that the Statue’s smile was exactly similar to the facial expression of the Titan.

Of course, the community was quick to notice the similarity and discuss the entire thing on Reddit and Twitter.

What’s even more amazing is that during these moments, Sung Jin-Woo and Eren also look alike. They both seem like innocent souls who are terrified of seeing the deaths of their loved ones – while one lost almost his entire crew, the other one lost his home and mother.

We’ve already seen how Eren leveled up (in a sense) after his unfortunate encounter with the Titan, but now, it’s time for us to witness Sung Jin-Woo’s journey.
