Adult Swim’s latest original anime continues to surpass the ratings of several popular series, including Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan is the brainchild of the mangaka Hajime Isayama. It started as a manga series in 2009 and arrived as an anime in 2013. Since then, it has amassed a massive fan following and become a major commercial success.

The post-apocalyptic series revolves around a boy named Eren, who vows to kill the Titans after witnessing his mother getting eaten by one of their kind. The story looks straightforward at the start, but soon, it becomes clear there’s so much more to it.

However, despite its extraordinary popularity, Adult Swim’s new anime is about to leave AoT behind.

New Adult Swim anime to dominate the industry in 2024

Ninja Kamui is a new weekly anime on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block. As per MyAnimeList, Ninja Kamui has already surpassed the ratings of Demon Slayer. And seeing its speed, it would be safe to assume that the coming weeks might show the series at the top position on the chart, surpassing the other popular titles, including Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen.

It’s already jumped ahead of Attack on Titan on IMDb’s list of the most popular TV shows right now, placed at 81st ahead of the former at 85th.

Ninja Kamui premiered on February 11, 2024. The anime will run for 12 episodes, but fans are already curious to know if the series will return with a second season. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1’s director Sunghoo Park is involved in the project, and it’s set to be one of the biggest animes of 2024.

The series follows a former ninja named Joe Higan, who wants to leave his past life behind and start a new one with his wife and son. One unfortunate day, his wife and kid get killed by members of his former clan. So, he must rise and avenge the deaths of his loved ones from the group of assassins and the ninjas he has worked with previously.
