Big Bang Theory Easter eggs “confirmed” for Young Sheldon Season 7

We may have already found out the origin of Bazinga, but creators have “confirmed” more Big Bang Theory Easter eggs for future Young Sheldon episodes.

Prequel series Young Sheldon has been the ideal hit for those who loved Sheldon Cooper from his time on The Big Bang Theory.

With the main series airing from 2007-2019 and the prequel beginning in 2017, Sheldon has rarely been off of our screens for the best part of 20 years – but amazingly, there are still plenty of gaps in our knowledge about his life.

Now that Young Sheldon is drawing to a close with Season 7, creators have officially “confirmed” that more Easter eggs for The Big Bang Theory are still to come.

According to The New York Post, Young Sheldon fans can expect plenty of The Big Bang Theory Easter eggs still to come in Season 7.

During a recent interview, series executive producer Steve Holland explained: “We’re aware that Big Bang Theory fans like those little Easter Egg moments, so there’s definitely going to be some of those coming up. There are some Big Bang references I think people will be excited to see and we’re excited to put them in.

“Knowing this was our last season, we each had a personal list of things we wanted to acknowledge or make reference to or hide in the background – and I think Big Bang fans will have a lot to look forward to.”

Holland also explained that Season 7 is set to touch on plenty of unfinished storylines, with subjects such as George Cooper Snr’s death now confirmed to be explored.

“Obviously, going into this last season and knowing where we wanted to leave the family and also knowing there are some big milestones ahead, there were [plot points] we wanted to make sure we hit. We don’t have massive story arcs on this show, but there’s a little bit more of a through-line this season.”

Fans have already seen a handful of Big Bang Theory references in Young Sheldon before, including the origin of Sheldon’s Bazinga catchphrase and previews of the other cast as children, such as Leonard.
