Man runs out of salon after hairstylist charges him extra “time wasting” fee
TikTok/bighaircrushA hairstylist is going viral for exposing a client who ran out of her salon after agreeing to pay a “time wasting” fee.
No one likes to pay extra charges for cancelations or rescheduling, but one man took things to another level by outright running away instead of paying a fee for “wasting” his stylist’s time.
In a video posted to TikTok and Instagram, hair service ‘BigHairCrush’ revealed footage of a “service theft” when a man just got up and ran out of her salon without paying.
The clip shows the stylist finish working on his hair and then flipping through his phone for a bit before deciding to hightail it, leaving the woman in complete shock. But that’s not where the story ends.
Hairstylist exposes man for running out of salon
In addition to clips and photos posted to BigHairCrush’s social media, the stylist shared DMs between herself and her client, where he explained he woke up late and couldn’t make his original appointment.
“Client was two hours late and had extension twists… he paid 1P for his hair before running out the salon,” the stylist explained.
After the man agreed to pay extra due to the urgent rescheduling, the stylist revealed it would be £30, or around $38 USD.
“Technically, he owes £59.99, as he did pay 1 pence,” the stylist explained in her cost breakdown.
Since the video spread, the client responded to the clip with his own TikTok video, claiming he had paid some the day before and wasn’t happy with the late fee.
“On my way out I sent 1P instead of sending £10, which is my fault,” he said. “I just want to apologize to my friends and family who have seen the video.”
However, according to BigHairCrush, the man hasn’t “taken accountability” and has yet to be paid in full.
This isn’t the first time a hair appointment has gone viral recently. Last month, a woman refused to tip her hairdresser after a $350 appointment, but the internet was surprisingly on her side.
