New Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit event to include Hades, 13 Sentinels, more

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate devs has confirmed that a new spirit event will arrive at the end of January and will introduce Hades to the game.

When it comes to the world of competitive fighting games, the Super Smash Bros. franchise is one of the most popular and beloved series in the space.

While the franchise includes a long roster of iconic Nintendo characters for players to choose from, the series has also developed a long list of third-party fighters. The likes of Sonic, Bayonetta, Steve, and more all playable characters in the game.

Now however, Ultimate has revealed that another beloved franchise will be joining the game, with the 2020 roguelike title Hades set to be introduced to the game as part of the new Spirit Events beginning in January.

As well as Hades, Smash Bros Ultimate will also be adding in spirits from 13 Sentinels and Power Pros.

The announcement was made via the official Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Twitter page, which has been included above.

Smash Bros. Ultimate fans are excited about the inclusion of Hades in the game, one Twitter user writing “WAS NOT EXPECTING HADES OKAY.”

The next Smash Bros. Ultimate spirit event will begin on January 26 and will last for a total of five days.

At the time of writing, the exact characters that will be introduced for the new Spirit event are yet to be determined.
