Jessica Batten, who was called a ‘villain’ after her time on Love Is Blind, went on to have a healthy relationship outside the show. Here’s what we know.

Jessica Batten was an OG participant in the Netflix dating reality show Love Is Blind, but received criticism for the way she manoeuvered her relationship with Mark Cuevas.

Mark was significantly younger than her and their relationship faced more challenges because of Jessica’s lingering feelings for another contestant, Matt Barnett. In the finale, Jessica left Mark at the altar.

After leaving the dating show unengaged, Jessica got into a serious relationship with Ben McGrath, an ankle surgeon and father of two.

In 2020, Ben was the one who reached out to Jessica through Instagram DMs, and the reality star agreed to go on a date.

Jessica opened up to Refinery29 and said, “We ended up meeting up one night, and the next day we went on a bike ride, and the rest is history. This was back in March of last year, so it’s been about a year and a half. And it’s been really amazing.”

The pair had a very private wedding in 2022, with only two other couples present as they tied the knot in a courtyard at a courthouse in Santa Barbara.

The two share a son, Ethan, and a daughter, Poppy, from their marriage. Jessica expressed wanting to keep her relationship with her husband and family private after everything she went through on Love Is Blind.

She said, “We want to keep our relationship private, based on things I’ve seen with couples putting their relationship on television. I don’t think I could handle anyone bashing my relationship.”
