The Traitors US fans convinced killing this player was “stupid”

The Traitors US Season 2 is underway on Peacock with players being ‘murdered’ left and right, but fans are unsatisfied with one particular player’s death.

Fans of The Traitors Season 2 are convinced that Johnny ‘Bananas’ Devenanzio’s time on the show was cut too short.

The 41-year-old actor and host had previously starred in The Real World: Key West and The Challenge. Johnny became the very first contestant to walk out the Ardross Castle after being murdered in episode 2 by Traitors Dan Gheesling, Phaedra Parks, and Parvati Shallow.

After his elimination, the rest of the contestants discovered that he was actually a Faithful. Fans of the show were unsatisfied with Johnny going off first because they felt that he made the series more interesting.

The Traitors fans think Bananas was a social strategist

The fans took to Reddit to express their opinion on Banana’s elimination. While the majority agreed that killing him was the right choice for the Traitors, many said it made the show a bit bland.

Several viewers expressed that Bananas was ‘good television’ and deserved to stay on a bit longer. One viewer wrote: “Really wish he would have had a chance to stay longer and play the game. Bananas is always great TV and entertaining. The show lost a bit of entertainment value with that move for me personally, but I will still tune in as I am a fan of CT, Parvati, and Sandra. Tamra too.”

Another viewer gave their opinion on this and said, “I actually agree Bananas was a bad choice, but for different reasons. Dan would benefit from keeping all the other competitive reality alums around, since I’m sure most people would assume production would pick at least one BB/Survivor/Challenge contestant for Traitor.”

Viewers pointed out that Bananas was a social strategist, and his loud and influential personality made him a great threat to the Traitors. They further explained that if Dan hadn’t murdered him, Johnny would’ve pushed the players to have Dan banished.

One fan wrote, “As a Bananas Stan, I agree he should not have gone first, but I don’t agree he’s not smart. He is very adept at social strategy games. Such a shame he was never on Celebrity BB. He would have crushed it.”
