Barbie Pascual revealed that Fraser Olender requested for her to be fired on Below Deck Season 11 to avoid competition.

Barbara ‘Barbie’ Pascual and Chief Stew Fraser Olender are butting heads on Below Deck Season 11.

Fraser called the stew out for having an attitude on the boat, and Barbie claimed that it was part of her personality.

The chief stew went to Captain Kerry Titheradge to complain about Barbie’s behavior and possibly fire her, but he convinced Fraser to give her another chance.

Now that Barbie and Fraser still have to work together on the St. David, they’ve decided to make up and ride out the rest of the season.

Barbie admits Fraser gave her “no time” to improve

In an interview with US Weekly, Barbie said that Fraser only wanted to fire her because she was his biggest competition.

“I think as a Chief Stew, when somebody comes in, because you know, Xandi was totally chill being in the laundry room as of now, I guess we’ll see what happens… and Cat was very sensitive. So it’s like really his only almost competition there was me, so he felt it,” she explained.

When asked if Fraser was threatened by her, Barbie replied, “I think maybe subconsciously, and I think also my attitude really was not ideal.”

The Below Deck star added that Fraser’s intention was to fire her when he spoke to Captain Kerry. “For sure, we had talked about it. We spoke, I told him ‘Okay, I’m not happy but I’ll work on my attitude.’ We had had a conversation, and from there, from when he spoke to Kerry, he gave me no time to show him. He wanted me out.”

Even though Barbie was able to stay on the boat after Fraser talked to Captain Kerry, she might feel more pressure now while doing her job.

She believes that she has an advantage over the other stews because she’s more experienced, and can complete tasks efficiently.

Barbie has made a pact with Fraser to tone down her attitude, but it could come out unexpectedly at any point in the charter season.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
