Below Deck fans slam Fraser for giving Barbie unfair treatment

Fraser Olender is too hard on Barbie Pascual on Below Deck Season 11, and fans think she’s being treated unfairly.

Barbara ‘Barbie’ Pascual is already having a difficult time as a stew on Below Deck Season 11, and doesn’t have the best reputation with some of the crew.

Chief Stew Fraser Olender reprimanded her for having an attitude every time she was asked to do something, and told her to go easy on fellow stew, Cat Baugh.

When Barbie refused to be nice just to make others happy, Fraser was offended and wanted her fired from the boat.

Captain Kerry Titheradge denied Fraser’s request to let her go, and the stews ended up making amends after Barbie admitted that her behavior was wrong.

Below Deck fans claim Fraser is “too harsh” on Barbie

On Reddit, Below Deck fans accused Fraser of giving Barbie unfair treatment and focusing on Cat’s feelings instead.

“Well I’ve figured out why I like Barbie. She reminds me of Kate Chastian. Her ITM comments especially give Kate vibes. Also the fact that she can recognize the BS that Fraser gives her,” the original poster wrote.

The same user continued, “Truly, Barbie is reacting how we all would if our boss called us things like ‘babe’ and then gave special treatment to the worst worker while saying nothing positive to the people who can actually do the job well! Then actively trying to fire Barbie.”

“They are both in the wrong. Fraser has been a bit too harsh with her, coming back with criticism after criticism like he’s targeting her. He hasn’t given her an ‘atta girl’ or anything despite her being a strong worker,” another fan added.

“Agreed, I like Fraser but am disappointed in his actions this season, to emotionally invested in the one girls trauma to see how it’s affecting his crew! That being said Barbie needs to scale back the tude as well,” a third fan chimed in.

Since Fraser has only been a chief stew for two Below Deck seasons, fans feel that he still doesn’t have a lot of experience with managing his crew.

Fraser admitted he was too friendly with the crew last season, and this season he’s implementing strict discipline with Barbie, while Cat seems to be off the hook.

Hopefully, he will feel more comfortable in his position as the charter season continues.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
