Most valuable chase cards from Pokemon TCG Paldean Fates

A Pokemon TCG card shows Pikachu

5. Pikachu – Shiny Rare

Everyone’s favorite electric mouse sneaks into the top ranking, despite being the only card in the top five that isn’t a Special Illustration Rare. Just a cute card in its own right, and with that adorable Shiny glimmer, this Pikachu is already proving popular among collectors.

Pikachu – Shiny Rare will cost you around $30 for a near-mint edition.

A Pokemon TCG card shows Iono

4. Iono – Special Illustration Rare

Introduced in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the energetic gym leader Iono has already proven a hit with fans and has become one of the most coveted cards in nearly every single set since she was introduced.

With artwork from Hanabushi, an adorable pastel style and both Mismagius and Bellibolt sneaking into the frame, this card is a gorgeous take on the popular streamer.

This card will run around $65 on TCGPlayer.

A Pokemon TCG card shows Gardevoir

3. Gardevoir ex – Special Illustration Rare

While Gardevoir might not be the most popular Pokemon, it does have a dedicated fan base, and a fantastic Shiny. The variant of this Pocket Monster turns it from green into blue, and it’s a distinctive change that many Pokemon TCG players adore.

Gardevoir ex’s Special Illustration version currently costs around $70.

A Pokemon TCG card shows Mew

2. Mew ex – Special Illustration Rare

This one was always going to be popular, as Mew is beloved by fans, and was the topic of many a playground myth for the original Pokemon Red and Blue players.

This beautiful blue Mew card features artwork from USGMEN in their typical simplistic but adorable style, and a goofy little Bellsprout, Oddish, Poliwag, and more playing in the background.

This version of the card currently starts from $115 on TCGPlayer.

A Pokemon TCG card shows Charizard

1. Charizard ex – Special Illustration Rare

Yeah, the top spot is a Charizard, what else was it going to be? The mighty lizard is normally the pick of the pack in every single set, and even celebrities like Shaun of the Dead’s Nick Frost are pleased to find this fearsome Fire-type monster.

The Shiny Charizard takes on an intimidating black coloring, and the artwork from Akira Egawa really sells the dangerous side of the classic Pocket Monster. It’s always a safe bet that Charizard is a great pull, but this is a beautiful card, sure to be on top of a lot of collector’s lists for years to come.

Charizard ex currently starts from $184 at the time of writing.
