Some Pokemon Go tasks are quick and easy, but others can take a lot of time and effort to complete. Pokemon Go players took to social media lately to slam the worst offender.

In Pokemon Go, research tasks exist to give players extra resources, keep them busy, and encourage them to try new things. Some of these tasks are very quick and easy to complete, like evolving 10 Pokemon for example.

That’s not the case for every research task, though, as some of them can be very time-consuming to finish. Pokemon Go players took to social media recently to complain about what they felt was the worst research task in the game.

Pokemon Go players frustrated by Kecleon research task

If you’re unfamiliar with how to get Kecleon in Pokemon Go, the Chameleon Pokemon is found as a random spawn tied to different PokeStops. First, you need to find the right PokeStop, spot the invisible ‘mon (you’ll be able to see its red zigzag design), and tap on it to spawn it.

Put simply, it’s a lengthy process, which is why a group of Pokemon Go players took to r/pokemongo recently to dub it the “worst” research task in the game. Originally popping up in this post, Pokemon Go player Comfortable-Bag-1608 shared a screenshot along with their frustrations.

Players in the replies agreed that the Kecleon task is notorious thanks to spawn rates, with one Pokemon Go fan sharing that they “have encountered exactly 1” despite playing since 2016.

Another described their experience as a daily player who can “easily spin anywhere from 25-100 stops a day”. Despite their in-game time, they still found the Kecleon task to be extremely time-consuming and it took them months.

Some of the fans in the thread disagreed that the Kecleon task was the worst one, pointing out other time sinks like the “catch 15 Porygon” research task or the “Welcome Party” one instead.

Kecleon can sometimes be featured in events, so if you find yourself struggling with this research task make sure to keep an eye out for days where there’ll be increased spawn rates.
