Insane Overwatch trick proves Baptiste can heal from almost anywhere

Bill Cooney

Baptiste is the newest support to join released to the main game on March 19, 2019 and since then he’s definitely found a lot of use from players and even found his own niche in the higher levels of play like Overwatch League.

As with any hero who’s been out for long enough, players have started to find tricks that when mastered, could be useful to know how to do if you ever play Baptiste.

Blizzard EntertainmentBaptiste has turned out to be a pretty versatile support hero.

Who needs line of sight?

If you’re feeling lazy and don’t want to leave spawn, Baptiste specialist PMAJellies shared a great way to heal from a safe distance on Lijiang Tower’s Garden stage on Twitter.

By standing dead center in front of the main spawn door, Baptiste can toss his Immortality field and healing fire onto the point by aiming at the top of a dark area on the middle tower.

This trick could also come in handy in those situations when you find yourself hustling to get back and fight for the point towards the end of the round or in overtime – if you can make the shots.

It’s only one map, but the trick could be useful for Baptiste players to try and practice sometimes, because you never know when you might need it.

Blizzard EntertainmentHopefully you have teammates who know to get on the point.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Baptiste

Another sneaky Baptiste trick from Reddit user slckrpunk reveals a great hiding spot when Baptiste is playing defense on Dorado.

On the bridge over the first chokepoint the payload passes through, Baptiste can hop up and hide in the roof – he’s even able to keep healing (kinda) if his team’s on the high ground before the choke.

Sigma may have taken away any of the new hero hype that Baptiste had left, but that also means we’ll just see more and more brig brain strategies for the hero now that players are used to him.
