The Junker Queen is finally playable in Overwatch 2 with the arrival of the second beta and players have already discovered a powerful tech to send foes off the map.

Overwatch 2’s second beta went live on June 28 giving players a chance to try out a new map, an improved ping system, revamped scoreboard, and plenty of more features.

Of course, for a game that is all about heroes, while the new bells and whistles are fancy, a lot of eyes are on Overwatch’s latest tank hero and how she will fit into the game.

So far, the early feedback has been positive with popular streamer Samito praising the devs for crafting a well-designed hero who isn’t “oppressive” while showing off some pretty sick gameplay. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some neat tricks that make the hero even stronger.

Overwatch 2 players already find Junker Queen tech

One of Junker Queen’s most rewarding abilities comes in the form of her Jagged Blade. Behaving a bit like Roadhog’s hook, the hero throws her knife and can call it back to her, sending her opponent back a bit with it.

If you’ve ever played the God of War reboot, chances are you know exactly how this kind of ability works, but unlike Kratos, The Junker Queen has the ability to score environmental kills with her weapon by calling it back.

As it turns out, there’s even a way to knock foes back even further. As shown by Overwatch streamer SVB, by yoinking opponents off certain surfaces, they can get sent back considerably more.

This is certainly something to factor in when playing the hero and making use of the ability. Especially when you consider how securing an environmental kill on a full-health enemy will give more ultimate charge.

Of course, just like Roadhog’s hook, sending a foe into your team is a big help and securing that opening frag can steamroll the rest of the fight.

The Overwatch 2 beta is still fresh and there’s no telling what other tricks players will discover in the days ahead, so be sure to keep it locked to Dexerto for more OW2 news and updates.
