Ariana Grande responded to critics who called her a “homewrecker” with her new song, ‘yes, and?’

Ariana Grande first came under fire for dating her Wicked costar Ethan Slater last summer, when reports revealed Slater’s wife was “blindsided” by the relationship. Many have taken to Twitter/X to call out the singer as being a “homewrecker.”

“She helped ruin an entire family with a newborn baby and now she wants to play the victim by dissing the internet and press like she wasn’t caught…I can’t stand her,” wrote another user. Grande has been met with a flurry of similar posts, leading to her writing a song about the situation.

Grande addresses her critics with her brand new song ‘yes, and?,’ her first bit of new music in four years.

With the dance track ‘yes, and?,’ Ariana Grande claps back at claims she’s a homewrecker with one lyric in particular. “Your business is yours and mine is mine / Why do you care so much whose d*ck I ride?” she sings over a club beat.

Elsewhere, she shrugs off the media and expectations put upon her life. “Now, I’m so done with caring what you think, no, I won’t hide,” she sings. “Underneath your own projections or change my most authentic life.”

The music video, which references Paula Abdul’s ‘Cold Hearted’ visual, was directed by Christian Breslauer, known for working with Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Doja Cat. The clip features choreography by Will Loftis, with an assist from Chelsea Thedinga.

‘yes, and?’ kicks off Ariana Grande’s new era, sampling an album called Eternal Sunshine, a reference to the popular film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Reportedly, she worked with producers Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh on the album.
