A French YouTuber has gone viral for recreating the GTA 6 announcement trailer in real life, shot for shot.

After years of development and anticipation, the first-ever trailer for GTA 6 finally dropped in December 2023. The brief footage took the world by storm, breaking viewership numbers on YouTube and spawning major online discourse.

Much of which was in relation to Easter eggs, comparisons to older games, and theories on what the new sequel might have in store. In addition, however, developer Rockstar was praised greatly for the attention to detail in regards to recreating Florida within the world of GTA.

While Florida locals have taken to social media to share real-life images of some of the locations featured throughout the GTA 6 trailer, French YouTuber CYRILmp4 went one step further.

In a new video, the content creator revealed how he went to visit Florida with the intention of creating a real-life version of the GTA 6 trailer.

CYRILmp4’s GTA 6 trailer has been blowing up online, with the community sharing the video on Reddit.

The Reddit thread, which has almost 300 comments, is filled with GTA fans sharing their praise for the recreation.

One user wrote, “Some shots are really difficult to tell which one is IRL and which is in-game. Can’t wait for the game to come out.” Another wrote, “The trailer looks more real than the real thing,” while a third added, “That first beach shot is so crazy. It took me a bit to distinguish the IRL from the game.”
