Genshin Impact players want more free 4-star character selectors
HoYoverseGenshin Impact players want HoYoverse to add other regions to the free 4-star character collector, with many feeling like a lot of characters are currently neglected.
The Genshin Impact Lantern Rite festival is well underway, which means new quests and free Primogems are available. Players are also getting to grips with Xianyun, the game’s latest 5-star banner character.
There’s even the addition of new skins for Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu. If that wasn’t enough, HoYo is also giving out free 4-star characters that players can choose from.
However, the game’s community wants HoYoverse to give regions outside of Liyue more representation in its 4-star character selectors.

“I’m begging for a 4-star character selection from literally any other region,” commented one player on the Genshin Impact Reddit page. Currently, Genhsin Impact players can choose from ten 4-star units as part of a limited-time character selector.
While fans can use this method to unlock Gaming, the latest 4-star Pyro character, the other units present on the banner have often appeared in the past. It’s because of this, that the community wants more ways to unlock non-Liyue characters.
“Same to be honest. A lot of people want more cons for their Sara/Gorou/Faruzan, or maybe get Kaveh/Kirara for the first time,” replied another player.
“Seriously, It also doesn’t help that Inazuma-Fontaine 4-star doesn’t appear in the shop. A ton of them are niche and dedicated to one banner like Sara for Raiden or Gorou for Itto or geo units. Some people need those units or cons but they rarely appear.”
Another Traveler also noted how one region is in desperate need of a 4-star character selector. “Mondstadt selector would be huge for the people who want those rare starters (Amber/Lisa/Kaeya) cons, and would also let me finally get Mika, HoYo please and thank you,” said another Traveler.
Well, while a 4-star Mondstadt selector hasn’t been announced, a recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed that a 5-star Mondstadt banner could be coming to the game in the future.
