Is Grounded coming to Nintendo Switch and PS5?

Grounded, Obsidian’s survival adventure game, has seen success on Xbox and PC since its 1.0 release in 2022, but is the game coming to Nintendo Switch and PS5?

Originally launched into early access in 2020, and later hitting 1.0 two years later, Grounded has proved to be a popular title for survival game enthusiasts on the Xbox platform. With a TV series also in development, the game is expected to grow elsewhere across the media market.

And with such an expansion to other mediums, you may be wondering if the game is also coming to other platforms such as Nintendo Switch and PS5. Following some rumors from earlier in the year, here is everything you need to know.

Is Grounded coming to Nintendo Switch?

As confirmed in the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase on February 21, Grounded is indeed coming to Nintendo Switch on April 16th, 2024.

This is following confirmation from Xbox head Phil Spencer, who stated in a business update on the Official Xbox Podcast earlier this month that “four games will be coming to the other consoles”. While he did not confirm which games would be arriving, we now know Grounded is one of those four titles.

Is Grounded coming to PS5?

Grounded is confirmed to be coming to PS5 and PS4 on April 16th, 2024. So it will release the same day as the Switch version.

This is part of the new strategy by Microsoft to release some of its Xbox-exclusive titles on other platforms.
