Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has expressed interest in bringing more GTA games to Netflix following the success of the GTA Trilogy on the platform.

In the Fall of 2023, rumors swirled that Netflix was in talks to bring a Grand Theft Auto title to its Netflix Games service.

Eventually, Netflix revealed that the GTA Trilogy would be coming to the platform. Once it arrived fans were surprised at just how well the title ran on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

After the GTA Trilogy’s impressive performance on Netflix Games, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO has expressed interest in bringing even more GTA games to the service.

GTA 6 publisher optimistic about GTA on Netflix Games

As reported by Business Insider, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnik revealed during an earnings call that the GTA Trilogy dominated Netflix Games in downloads following the GTA 6 trailer reveal.

During the earnings call, Zelnik claimed that the GTA 6 trailer had a “halo effect across the entire franchise.” Naturally, this bolstered interest in the franchise across multiple different platforms—including Netflix Games.

GTA 6’s first trailer took the internet by storm and has amassed over 174,000,000 views in two months.

Zelnik went on to call GTA’s partnership with Netflix a “resounding success” following the Trilogy’s performance in December and expressed interest in launching even more GTA titles on the service.

“We’d love to do more with Netflix. Who wouldn’t?” Zelnik asked. “As long as the consumers are happy to be there and as long as the economics of those arrangements make good sense.”

Considering the Netflix Games service centers around mobile gaming, it’s unclear what other titles could make their way in the future.

While many may suspect Take-Two will only bring older GTA titles to the service, that may not be the case. With reports of games like Resident Evil Village running well on certain tablets, it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear either GTA 4 or 5 come to the Netflix Games eventually.
