Players can now Thank the Bus Driver before Dropping in Fortnite
With Fortnite’s latest V5.3 patch, players can now thank the Battle Bus driver before dropping into the map.
Since the advent of the internet, memery is at an all-time high. It’s thanks to one of these memes that Fortnite players can now express their politeness to the Battle Bus driver.

Thanks to Reddit user zenerations, passengers who thanked the bus driver were put in a very positive light. Zeneration’s coffin vs sarcophagus meme, which compared impolite people to polite passengers to commoners and pharaohs, inspired many other iterations praising basic human kindness.
The widespread meme made its way to Fortnite, where players would joke about thanking the bus driver before they dropped into the game’s map with their team.

This meme is now a reality, and players can actually thank the Battle Bus driver with Fortnite’s V5.3 patch.
To demonstrate their politeness, users can simply press the B key on their keyboards, or hit the down arrow on the D-Pad just before dropping out of the Battle Bus.

This action is displayed in the chat, broadcasting players’ politeness for their team to see.
There are no punishments for declining to thank the driver. The action is completely optional – much like real-life.
