One of the new NPC bosses added to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 has a Mythic quality Assault Rifle waiting for the player who can take them down. Here’s how to defeat Skye at The Shark island.

Introduced into Fortnite during the Season 2 Top Secret update were five NPC henchmen bosses at five different secret locations spread across the map.

Each new AI-controlled enemy sits in the heart of their respective secret base, with a valuable Mythic quality weapon and a keycard to the highly-desired loot vault that’s located inside. Unfortunately, they’re surrounded by a plethora of henchmen, and other players will be vying for that gear as well.

Skye is also a bonus content skin that Battle Pass owners can eventually unlock, too.

If you’re landing on an island on the north side of the map called The Shark, you have a chance to get some of that loot yourself, at the expense of the NPC Skye and her henchmen. Here’s how to tackle this challenge.

How to defeat Skye in Fortnite Season 2

  1. Land on top of the Shark building and grab a weapon. There should be some on the roof.
  2. Make your way down into the lower interior level. There are numerous ways to accomplish this, including taking the stairs, jumping down one level at a time, or using the vents.
  3. Skye is at the lowest level, in a room filled with computers that has a central metal pillar. Take her out. There are other henchmen around, and lock on turrets too, but it’s up to you if you want to take those out, as well.
  4. Collect her Mythic Assualt Rifle, her keycard, and if you so choose, a Mythic grappler.
  5. Equip the keycard and it will guide you to the vault. Watch out for more turrets.
  6. Open the vault and grab all the loot you can.

You don’t have to take out the turret above the Vault, but it will probably make it easier on you.

Like other locations, there’s no easy way to make your escape, but Skye’s Grappler should prove useful when you’re trying to quickly climb the levels back to the surface.

There are boats around the outside of the facility that’ll get you off the island, and if you’re desperate enough, you can always swim.

Skye is somewhat easier to find compared to some of the other bosses, and the amount of henchmen present appears to be less than average.

There are five loot vaults in Fortnite Season 2, at The Shark, The Yacht, The Agency, The Grotto and The Rig.

The key to a successful Shark run is getting a weapon early and hopping down to the lowest level quickly. If you’re a decent shot, and can dance between the henchmen and turrets, Skye isn’t too great a challenge.

Hopefully, her Mythic Assault Rifle will drive you forward to a Victory Royale. Good luck!

Did The Rock just tease he’s getting a Fortnite skin?

After an appearance by a very cartoony-looking float during the Macy’s Thanksgivings Day Parade, The Rock hinted that he may end up getting a skin in the popular battle royale game Fortnite, although he’s being a bit vague.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade floats are known their pop culture references. Between Pikachu, Goku, and others making appearances, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that one based on the popular young Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson meme a few years back would make its way into the 2020 version of the parade.

Seemingly because it’s a float, the giant balloon itself seems to be a cartoon representation of the meme, rather than a hyper-realistic one. After one person seemed to point out that it looks a bit like a Fortnite skin, the former wrestler now actor responded in a way that’s raising a few eyebrows.

In response to the comment about his float looking like a Fortnite character, The Rock simply responded with “way ahead of you” and “great minds”. This obviously caused a few people to pause and ask themselves if he just hinted at a Fortnite skin.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any official comment from Epic but the comment is certainly suspicious. While one could make the argument that The Rock was saying that he also had the same thought before the original tweeter, the wink face emoji seen after the tweet is a bit peculiar. Surely he would know not to put that kind of statement out with that emoji unless he meant to hint at it, right?

It’s also a bit odd that he also responded to someone who tweeted that they “shouldn’t give them any ideas”, meaning he could have been totally knowledgable in what he’s doing.

His inclusion in the game also wouldn’t be surprising. Fortnite is known for its crossovers at this point, even allowing for some Icon Series skins based on celebrities like Ninja and others. It could also be a part of a larger WWE crossover, considering there’s a plethora of characters there to make skins out of.

Still, until nothing official is announced, take this with a massive grain of salt. Here’s hoping that if it is real that it will get announced soon, however.
