Fortnite Battle Royale players might have to prepare themselves for a Doomsday event on the island, with map changes and leaked information pointing towards a major shakeup coming soon.

There’s been a few big changes made in Season 2 already, including the introduction of Choppas, Crash Pads and more. However, following the introduction of the v12.30 update on March 31, data miners have been hard at work trying to find things that haven’t yet been announced.

Deadpool cosmetics, new weapons and more have been found in the game files, but leakers have also discovered some details about a Doomsday Device that looks set to appear in the Battle Pass menu sometime in the near future.

A Doomsday Device may soon appear in Fortnite, just like this leaked image from FortTory shows.

Three features were leaked by FortTory after the patch rolled out on all platforms, including the Doomsday Device, Doomsday Hatch and Doomsday Door – which could all be the first clues Epic Games have added about an upcoming event.

Many people around the world might be preparing themselves, wrongly or rightly, for a doomsday scenario due to the global crisis, and it seems that soon enough those same concerns will be translating to Fortnite. All leaked items can be seen below.

Hatches appearing at The Agency

For those who still haven’t seen them, next time you drop at The Agency you will notice that five different hatches have been added. These are located in the water and surround the perimeter of the small island.

We don’t know where these lead, if anywhere, just yet but there’s a good chance that they will have a similar function to the Porta Potty in Fortnite Season 2 – allowing players to move from place to place by entering.

Hatches have been added outside The Agency, found in the water.

Leaked secret rooms for Battle Pass menu

FortTory has also uncovered another potential clue for an upcoming event – secret places.

There were a bunch of agency characters added to the game at the beginning of Season 2, one of which was Midas. Soon enough, the leaker has suggested that there may be a secret path to a Doom Room inside of Midas’ room. This will potentially open at some stage, but will it take us through the hatches? We’ll have to wait and see.

With two potential events having been leaked for Fortnite since the v12.30 update – a Deadpool event and Doomsday as well – it looks likely that there will be a lot to keep players occupied moving forward.

Some members of the community have already had their games glitch out and spotted potentially the first stages of an event, with wires and huge tubing popping up in the Battle Pass menu.

Whether or not this all builds up towards an event now, soon, or never, remains to be seen, but the clues are stacking up. We’ll keep you updated if even more changes come up.

NickEh30’s latest Fortnite tournament was quite a spectacle, but it was tainted by an alleged stream sniper, who was reported and subsequently banned despite maintaining his innocence.

Nick ‘NickEh30’ Amyoony has been hosting a series of Fortnite tournaments in recent months. The latest one was the NickEh30 Cup. It gave players a chance to compete against some of the game’s biggest names in the scene for a chance to win $10,000.

It was all positive for the most part. A lesser-known professional Fortnite player named  Crumble managed to impress and take home the prize. However, the tournament was marred with some unfortunate stream sniping drama.

NickEh30 Fortnite stream sniping ban

In the final match, several other players landed on NickEh30, including a Twitch streamer named ArchieFN. He eliminated NickEh30 and danced on his body for the better part of 30 seconds.

NickEh30 was less than impressed and looked disappointed and deflated on stream. It was a stark contrast to his usual upbeat and positive vibe. He was convinced ArchieFN was stream sniping and hopped into the replay mode to report him and a few others.

Fortunately, Epic Games responded almost instantly and banned ArchieFN for 24 hours as soon as he returned to the lobby. You can watch a full recap of the incident below and form your own opinion.

However, ArchieFN is maintaining his innocence. He claimed he wasn’t stream sniping at all. Instead, he said he wanted to “contest someone who wasn’t a tier-one pro” and decided to land on NickEh30 after seeing him land in the same spot during a previous game.

Still, he apologized for what he did and acknowledged that some might find it “scummy.” Sadly, that didn’t stop him from copping a bit of abuse, some of which was needless and extreme.

“Why am I waking up to 600 DMs telling me to kill myself?” he said. “I’m 20, and it doesn’t bother me at all, but the majority of the community is quite younger … you really need to think about what you’re saying to people on the internet.”

In the end, ArchieFN’s Fortnite ban won’t last more than a day. It isn’t too long to wait if he’s innocent, but it’s enough for a wake-up call if he’s guilty.

Either way, The NickEh30 was a success despite the stream sniping drama, and a rightful victor was still crowned.
