FIFA 20 Title Update 7 (1.07) is now live on PC, and is expected to be available on PS4 and Xbox One next week (November 25 – December 1, 2019). See the complete list of patch notes below, including new Starheads (player faces) and a significant change to the head movement of penalty takers.

With many Ultimate Team fans frustrated at various issues in this year’s game, this latest FIFA 20 update appears to have made big steps in the right direction. It has already been well-received by many throughout the FUT community, although server issues, lag and latency appear to be something that EA SPORTS are still working on solving.

In terms of gameplay, EA have addressed shooting mechanics, ground passing accuracy, and the ability to disguise the direction of penalty kicks more easily. Furthermore, player switching during standing tackles and the speed of certain camera transitions have also been patched. Check out the full list of FIFA 20 patch notes for title update 7 below.

Gameplay

Made the following changes:

  • Increased the effectiveness of shots taken 15.24 meters/50 feet or closer to the target.
    • These shots will now be less likely to be impacted by error.
    • The impact of ball velocity and vertical ball velocity on all types of shots inside the box has been reduced.
    • The target, in this context, is the exact location of where the ball is expected to go, determined through a mixture of directional input, and the Shooting Assistance setting.
    • This change is intended to bring shooting closer in-line with how it is portrayed on the real-life pitch.
  • Improved accuracy of Ground Passes when performed in easy passing situations.
    • An easy passing situation generally occurs when there is no pressure or interference from the defending team, and when the pass is performed at a reasonable angle and distance.
    • This change does not impact Through Passes and Lobbed Passes.
  • Increased the speed of Ground Passes performed during Goal Kicks, Free Kicks, and Corner Kicks.
  • Penalty Takers will no longer move their heads once the Shoot action is performed.
    • The Penalty Taker’s head will lock to the middle once the run-up begins.
    • This change does not affect the ability to continue aiming the kick during the run-up.

Addressed the following issues:

  • Instances of a user-controlled player not being able to manually Player Switch to a different player during a Standing Tackle action.
    • This issue was affecting Player Switching with the Right Stick and the Player Switch button.
  • The camera was sometimes taking too long to transition during Goal Kicks and Corner Kicks.
  • Slightly increased the impact of high Attributes on error reduction for certain regular shot situations, such as high powered and under pressure shots.
    • The change impact all shots, including Finesse and Chip shots.

FUT (Ultimate Team)

Made the following changes:

  • Added a Matches Played counter on the Squad Battles Opponent Select screen.
    • This Matches Played counter tracks the first 40 played and/or skipped weekly competition matches.
      • Once all 40 weekly competition matches have been played or skipped, any further matches played in Squad Battles will not have any impact on the Weekly Score until the next Squad Battles competition begins.

Addressed the following issues:

  • The UI and Player Items were sometimes loading in at different times during kit selection.
  • An incorrect FUT Champions Rank Crest was sometimes displaying on the FUT Online tab and FUT Hub.
    • This was a visual issue only.

Career Mode

Addressed the following issues:

  • Visual corruption when opening the action list in the Squad HUB after exiting the contract negotiation scene in some situations.

VOLTA FOOTBALL

Addressed the following issues:

  • The Team Management screen was inaccessible during Kick-Off VOLTA FOOTBALL Survival matches.
  • After scoring a goal, the scorer’s name was sometimes not displaying during a kick-off.
  • Update to the Open Winter FC Windbreaker Jacket not displaying on the Avatar in VOLTA FOOTBALL.

Kick Off

Addressed the following issues:

  • Live Form arrows were not displaying in Team Management prior to a match.

General

Addressed the following issues:

  • Visual corruption when entering, exiting, and re-entering Team Management, from the Pause Menu, during a match.

Visuals (Star Heads)

Made the following changes:

  • Added 29 new Star Heads.
    • These will only be available following a server update. Please follow us on Twitter for updates on when this will be live in-game.
  • Updates to multiple stadiums, badges, shoes, balls, ad boards, and kits.
  • Updates to some of the broadcast packages.

How to complete FIFA 21 Current TOTW Upgrade SBC

EA SPORTS have rolled out a new Team of the Week-themed SBC in FIFA 21, allowing you to stock up on TOTW players. So, here’s what you need to know.

For the most part, squad building challenges – or SBCs – are focused on giving FIFA fans the chance to unlock special variant cards of their favorite players.

These are usually like Player of the Month, Flashback, Player Moments, Road to the Final, or a number of different promos, but EA also sprinkles in something different at times too. These unique SBCs can be focused on cosmetics like kits, badges, and stadium upgrades – but there are also the ‘lucky bag’ type SBCs too.

These SBCs come out at different points of the seasons, and the rewards are either completely random or locked to one particular set of cards. This time around, it’s all about Team of the Week.

We’ve already seen stars like Erling Haaland receive TOTW cards in FIFA 21, but that doesn’t stop them from getting multiple.

Current TOTW Upgrade FIFA 21 SBC requirements

The SBC, called the Current TOTW Upgrade, isn’t all that difficult to grasp. You’ve got to build one squad, and in return, you’ll be given a Team of the Week pack. Unlike the previous TOTW Upgrade, the pack you get for this SBC is locked to the week you open it – rather than the past few weeks.

With the reward being pretty random – there is no set rating for the player you’ll receive – EA haven’t rolled out an entirely difficult SBC. No, it’s just an 83-rated team, so you can hand over quite a bit of fodder to complete it, if you’ve got unusable cards in your club.

You will, though, need to also have at least 50 team chemistry when its all said and done – so it can’t just a pile of random cards. But, again, it isn’t difficult.

  • Current TOTW Upgrade: Min.83 Squad Rating, Min. 50 Team Chemistry, 11 players in the squad. Reward: TOTW Pack.

Cheap solutions for FIFA 21 Current TOTW Upgrade SBC

Now, if you haven’t got useless cards upon useless cards stocked in your club, you will have to fork out to get the SBC completed. Though, it’s not incredibly expensive.

According to FUTBin, starting it from scratch will cost around 20,000-24,000 coins. But, we’ve got a few solutions that should save you a few coins too.

Aside from bagging a guaranteed TOTW Card, the SBC is repeatable, so you can try your lcuk over and over – providing you have the coins or cards to do so.
