YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg has gone viral yet again with his latest Minecraft video, with each seemingly better than the last, this time teaming up with JackSepticEye for an insane build.

Both YouTubers boast tens of millions of subscribers (PewDiePie even approaching 100 million) and have led the way in creating a second wave of popularity for Minecraft gameplay on the video sharing platform.

Minecraft faced a challenge for gaming YouTube dominance from Fortnite Battle Royale in 2018, but has now firmly reclaimed its throne as the most-watched game.

PewDiePie especially has played a major role in that, with each of his frequent videos instantly peaking at number one on trending for the gaming category, and racking up in excess of 10 million views consistently.

In less than 24 hours, his duo Minecraft video with JackSepticEye, which runs over half-an-hour long, attracted 5.5 million views, and will be in double-digit millions in no time.

The video sees the pair create a huge pyramid, but with a twist, as they somehow managed to construct it upside down.

The pair realized too late that they had no way of actually reaching the top, and would have to build stairs, but they pulled out all the stops here too, constructing grand “bad-ass imperial steps” – as Jack put it.

JackSepticEye’s version of the video was uploaded two days previously, and that too has pulled in millions of views, contributing to over 440 billion views on Minecraft content on YouTube.

PewDiePie’s views have spiked, thanks to his Minecraft content.

PewDiePie himself has seen his monthly views almost double thanks to his Minecraft uploads. In June, his total monthly views were a whopping 316 million, but in July this number reached 573 million – his highest number since the start of his channel, according to SocialBlade.

On average, PewDiePie’s videos 18 million views a day, with the vast majority of this being Minecraft content.
