EA FC 24 players are calling the game an “absolute failure on all levels” after launching with numerous issues.

Marking a new chapter, EA FC 24 officially launched on September 29. Alongside the rebrand came a ton of new and reworked features, but like many other game launches, FC 24 came with its fair share of bugs and glitches.

From menu freezes, forcing players to restart their game, to UI issues, the devs have already released an update to improve stability issues and fix various problems. However, players are now calling the game an “absolute failure.”

EA FC 24 fans call game “absolute failure”

In an October 7 Reddit thread, one FC 24 player hit out with their frustrations, calling the game an “absolute failure” after launching with game-breaking bugs and glitches.

“Imagine you were EA and you were faced with probably the most important launch of a sports title in your company’s history,” they said. “The first year without the official FIFA brand on the most popular sports franchise in your company’s portfolio. Presumably with more money to spend on developing the game because you didn’t have to spend millions on the FIFA license.

“An opportunity – and a challenge – of proving to gamers that your football gaming title is still the go-to title in the industry and worth their hard-earned money. And you release a game that is full of game-breaking bugs and glitches, along with quite possibly the worst content over the first two weeks of UT in the last 10 years.”

They added: “This is an absolute failure on all levels. Just the list of serious bugs in the game is appalling for a big developer like EA.”

They went on to make note of the various issues in the game, such as UI and menu glitches that result in the game freezing as well as a ton of on-the-pitch problems players face.

Others in the replies claimed that money and the fact there’s no other competition in the space has made the EA devs “lazy.”
