Diablo 4 players have slammed item rerolling as one of the “worst” parts of the game in Season 3.

Blizzard’s action RPG Diablo 4 has had a bit of a rocky history. The game launched to an incredibly strong start, boasting fantastic reviews and a player base excited to take on Lilith. However, the game stumbled during its first season, with many players being left unsatisfied with what the devs had to offer.

Season 2 of Diablo 4 managed to save the game from the brink, pulling players back into the ARPG. However, Season 3 has seen a bit of a dip in player reception. One of the main facets of Season of the Construct is the new Vault dungeons, these allow for hardcore grinders to nab some of the best loot possible.

This works fantastically for those who are looking to min-max their stats, obtaining the most optimal build possible. But players must first get through one of the “worst” parts of the game to do so.

Diablo 4 players slam Blizzard over item reroll system

Diablo 4 players have lashed out at the item rerolling system as being one of the “worst” parts of the game in Season 3. Players are able to reroll a selected stat by speaking to an Occultist in town, these merchants can magically change a stat on an item for a fee.

“I honestly can’t think of a worse, more frustrating experience than sifting through hundreds if not thousands of items, getting something close to what you want and just not having the 30 million gold per reroll to get the stat you need,” the post read.

Rerolling item stats has become one of the most frustrating parts of Season 3, according to many players in agreement.

“Diablo 4 crafting system is probably the single worst I’ve ever seen. They took the Diablo 3 system, made it worse and put it into the game,” another player pointed out.

“They should be embarrassed by this IMO. It’s not like they tried to innovate on the D3 system and failed – it’s just the D3 system but objectively worse in every way,” another agreed.

With Diablo 4 being a game as a service, Blizzard could look to change this model in the future, but for now, players are not too happy with the current system.
