Warzone expert WhosImmortal has picked out another assault rifle from Modern Warfare 2 that is being slept-on but could be one of the best close-range guns in the battle royale.

When the Warzone integration in Modern Warfare 3 first launched, plenty of Call of Duty fans were worried that guns from the previous game, Modern Warfare 2, would become obsolete.

Many of these concerns centered around the health and time-to-kill changes that MW3 brought, leading to some players claiming that some of MW2’s most popular weapons had become “unusable” in the early goings

Fast forward a little bit and select MW2 weapons are back on the rise in Warzone, become dominant options after changes in Season 1 Reloaded and, more recently, Season 2.

That includes the M13C, which Warzone guru WhosImmortal has highlighted as being a “curveball” option at the top of the close-range meta.

“Maybe a bit of a curveball, but a weapon I think a lot of people sleep on – the M13C. This thing, for a rifle, is pretty aggressive all things considered, you’ve just got to make sure you’re accurate with it and you’ll be well off in the mid-range, as well as close,” the YouTuber said.

As with plenty of rifle builds these days, the M13C utilizes the VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor, Bruen Heavy Support underbarrel, and the MK.3 Reflector sight. These are all designed to nerf sway and kick, allowing the AR to do serious damage up close.

  • Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support
  • Optic: MK.3 Reflector
  • Magazine: 45-round mag
  • Stock: TRX-56 Stock

The only drawback to the M13C is, of course, the 45-round magazine capacity. It is slightly bigger than some of its rivals, but not massively, and well below the huge capacity that LMGs can run.

As per WZRanked, the MW2 AR has barely been getting a look at from players, so it is as WhosImmortal says, a sleeper option. Though, it remains to be seen if it’ll become massively popular.
