Solo Leveling is living up to its hype of the biggest Winter 2024 anime. It’s a dark fantasy series based on the manhwa of the same name. The series has released eight episodes so far, along with a controversial recap episode.
The recent episode features Sung Jinwoo going on a new mission along with Song Chi-Yul, Kin Sanshik, and Lee Joo-Hee, who were all with him during the double dungeon mission. However, the mission also includes some criminals, such as Kang Taeshik, a member of the Hunter Association’s Surveillance Team.
With the series still being in its initial phase, it’s no wonder that new characters are being introduced. However, one Solo Leveling character has attracted the attention of Jujutsu Kaisen fans.
Solo Leveling fans think Kang Taeshik looks similar to this Jujutsu Kaisen character
Whether it’s his hairstyle or his serious look, fans believe that Kang Taeshik in Solo Leveling looks awfully similar to Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen.
And well, we can’t blame them since the resemblance is uncanny. Physical appearance aside, they both even wear the same expressions. However, while Megumi has black hair and dark blue eyes, Taeshik has purple eyes and hair.
Kang Taeshik made his anime debut in Episode 3, but he started gaining more attention as the new mission suddenly included. Aside from that, the voice actor of Kang Taeshik is Uchiyama Kouki, the voice behind Toge Inumaki, another Jujutsu Kaisen character.
Although the members of the Hunter Association’s Surveillance Team are strong, they rarely go dungeon hunting. However, this time, it’s a special situation since he needs to supervise the unruly prisoners. The only reason the government sent those prisoners on a job is because they’re seriously lacking enough talented hunters.
While the gates keep popping up at an unusual rate, the hunters are on a decline. As for fans, they’ve found a new way to amuse themselves as they keep comparing Taeshik to Jujutsu Kaisen’s beloved character, Megumi Fushiguro.
