One important Venom suit design surprised fans when it showed up in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but players are disappointed they can’t wear it themselves.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is packed with different suits for Peter Parker and Miles Morales to wear as they swing around New York. These designs include classic looks from various comic runs, references to other Marvel characters, and even some original Insomniac designs – with mixed results.

However, while there are already dozens of options for each character, some players are disappointed by certain suits that aren’t unlockable. This includes one Venom look that’s already in the game.

Note, spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to follow.

Spider-Man 2 players wish they could wear the Agent Venom suit themselves

During Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Peter learns his childhood best friend, Harry Osborn, has developed powers, later revealed to have come from a symbiote. For a brief time, Harry works with Peter to track down villains.

He can even show up to help Peter or Miles fight crime on the streets of New York, leading to some charming interactions. At this point, Harry wears a suit comic fans will recognize as Insomniac’s take on Agent Venom.

However, while the suit is the game, it’s not available for Peter or Miles to unlock and wear themselves, something that’s surprised some players. This includes Reddit user BlackOptics, who said, “I’m happy with the symbiote suits we got, I just expected this to be one of them when it showed up. Especially since it has an Anti-Venom variant in the comics.”

Considering how the story goes, it definitely would have been nice to include this Venom suit (or an Anti-Venom variation of it) as an option for Peter as a tribute to his best friend. While it’s only briefly in the game, it is an important part of Harry and Peter’s stories and far more relevant than some of the suits Insomniac chose to include.

Hopefully, this Agent Venom look gets another chance in possible Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC or a possible Venom spinoff.
