A game-breaking The Finals money glitch is enabling players to win rounds at the last second, creating an unfair advantage for some teams.

The Finals continues to prove popular amongst FPS and battle royale fans alike, thanks to its class-based gameplay and destructible environments. While the game’s community has praised the overall gameplay, there are several areas that they want change.

While the OP nuke combo and invincible defibrillator revives have caught flak, there is a much more devastating issue that is currently making the rounds. In fact, one player highlighted how a “broken” money glitch is giving players an unfair advantage and ruining games when utilized.

The Finals players highlight money glitch that ruins games

Posting on the official The Finals Reddit page, illuminacegg shared a clip of a money glitch that appears to be ruining rounds. “You can clearly see that the orange team does not have enough money to make it to the next stage,” said the player.

“Unless they managed to get that 22k into the cashbox and then defended it for another minute or so. Instead, they waited (on purpose or not) until the very last millisecond to put it in, for the game to instantly reward them with the money but also end the game, saving them from having to defend it.”

As players have noted, the game should have added another minute to the timer instead of giving the orange team $22k. Others have also highlighted that you can even see the scoreboard add a +1:00, but the game ends anyway, not actually putting a minute on the timer.

“I don’t know how more people haven’t discussed this,” replied another player. “I have had three distinct moments of tossing the box into a cash out at the last second of a round and it counts. The 3rd was an attempt to replicate and it worked. I just assumed it was like ‘we don’t have time to wait, just have the money and GGs.’ [this was in] Ranked btw.”

Other commenters were also keen to highlight that they too had been impacted by this money glitch, with many noting how they’ve even been able to unintentionally recreate it. Either way, hopefully, the developers can patch this glitch before it ruins more games.
