Warzone players tired of “trash” MW2 guns & hundreds of attachments

Warzone players have had enough of “trash” weapons from Modern Warfare 2 and are calling on the devs to make changes to the number of attachments in-game.

When Warzone first started out as a part of Modern Warfare (2019), the only weapons and equipment you had to use came from that game. Since then, the battle royale has spanned a few different releases, becoming a melting pot of different ideas.

That has, at times, led to some annoyances for players. They’ve been frustrated that weapons from older games are unbalanced and not as strong as they’re newer counterparts.

That’s been the case again in Modern Warfare 3’s integration with Warzone, as some fan-favorite weapons from MW2 have been labeled as “unusable.” As a result, fans are hoping that the devs start to make some big changes, and that includes culling some weapons and attachments.

Warzone players argue game would be better without so many attachments

Yes, Warzone fans are hoping for some sweeping changes to the battle royale, starting with changes to weapons from MW2. “Why bring the MW2 weapons across when they’re all trash? It makes no sense as not one gun has been meta or viable,” asked Redditor Loud-Storage7262, adding that the MW2 guns can’t contend with some of the “insane” TTKs from MW3 picks.

“Game would be infinitely better with 10% of the guns and attachments but balanced but that would not make as much money,” another added.

“You can’t balance 78 different types of SMG. There’s no need to have as many guns as we do (or attachments for that matter – who needs 112 red dot sights with the same stats?) but they’ve locked themselves into this box,” another agreed.

Others argued that holdovers from MW2 are there to satisfy anyone who hasn’t purchased MW3. “The MW2 guns suck because they want you to buy MW3 to level the new guns but the MW2 guns exist so they can seem to the FTP players that they have something to use,” one said.

It remains to be seen if the devs will make such sweeping changes, or if they’ll just keep on doing as they do.
