Vondead event

Warzone community members have labeled Vondead as one of the game’s best-ever events, In the same class as the Haunting of Vondel.

Infinity Ward pulled out all of the stops to send off Modern Warfare 2 in style with The Haunting. Multiplayer fans received Halloween-inspired maps and modes, including Zombies Infected, which puts a unique spin on the fan-favorite mode.

As for Warzone, Zombie Royale served as the headline act. The beloved event flips the traditional battle royale formula on its head, transforming dead players into zombies. The last living player wins in what always proves to be an exhilarating experience.

However, in a surprising twist, Zombie Royale has found itself in the shadow of Vondead, as the nighttime version of Vondel stole the show.

Warzone community members praise Vondead game mode

Vondead is a nighttime version of the Resurgence map Vondel. Most notably, the redesign removes water from the map, adds easter eggs, and changes POIs to get in the Haloween spirit.

Reliable COD leaker TheGhostOfHope claimed: “Vondead is one of the best things Warzone has ever done.”

Community members flooded the comment section in agreement.

One player responded: “I was pleasantly surprised with how much they changed for the event. The mall stores are changed, the market is totally transformed, some sunken buildings in the canals, every building has several signs it has changed, and they added multiple Easter eggs.”

A second user added: “It’s genuinely fun. I’ve never felt that with a regular warzone. Also helps having a game that doesn’t look the same as everything else all the time.”

“It looks so nice at night. I wish they’d make a zombie map that looked that good,” a third community member added.

If there is one complaint, players did raise concerns about one-shot shotguns plaguing the game mode. Fortunately, the most recent weapon tuning update nerfed the Lockwood 300 and other popular Warzone weapons.
