After a delay induced by two labor strikes, Dune: Part 2 is finally ready to hit the big screen. Critics and moviegoers alike have long had high expectations for the sci-fi sequel, especially given the critical and commercial success of the first film.

Interestingly, review scores for Part 2 indicate that Villeneuve and Co. managed to outdo themselves this time around.

The upcoming Dune sequel has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 96 percent based on 82 critic reviews.

This places Part 2 several steps above the 2021 adventure, which is Certified Fresh with an 83 percent critic score and an audience score of 90 percent.
