Wife praises husband for note he left next to pile of dirty dishes

A woman has gone viral on TikTok after applauding her husband for the note he left next to a massive pile of dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.

Content creator Susan (susandoingthings) took to TikTok to show the mess that her husband had left in the sink at their home after having friends over.

“My husband had people over for a big game last night,” she said in her video, before zooming in on a pile of various dishes and pots in the kitchen sink.

“Look at all these freaking dishes in the sink,” she continued. The TikToker then panned her camera over to a sticky note on the counter that read “I got it” with an arrow pointing to the stack of dirty tableware.

“And then I see this note. What a good guy,” Susan said in the video. “I just love that he acknowledges that he left a mess in the sink, and don’t worry, he’ll take responsibility for it.”

TikTok divided over husband’s gesture

“Leaving a simple note instantly made me not care about the dishes in the sink!! I love communication and we have come so far!!” she captioned the clip, which has gone viral with over 3.5 million views.

In the comments, some viewers applauded her husband’s thoughtful gesture. “And that’s why you guys have been together forever.. literally,” one person wrote.

“I love this. Like he was tired and didn’t want to do it but knows you shouldn’t have to. What ace communication and all it took was a post it,” another shared. “Love seeing a healthy and happy relationship,” a third said.

However, a lot of people thought he was being praised for doing the bare minimum. “Wow man child cleaned up his own mess. Everyone clap,” one user commented.

“That’s expected of him, not something nice btw,” another added. “I’m with ‘the bar is in hell’ ladies,” someone else wrote.
