Raiding tombs is easy if you’re Lara Croft, but will this remastered collection of the iconic PlayStation games have just as easy a time running on the Steam Deck? Here’s everything you need to know.

Crystal Dynamics and Aspyr have teamed up to bring us Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, a collection of newly updated versions of the iconic game series. Everyone’s favorite gun-totting English adventurer, Lara Croft is back in action, with even her original sharp-edged polygon model making its comeback.

Over the years, the Tomb Raider series has become synonymous with the Sony PlayStation, especially after the first few games became instant classics. Yet decades, and multiple iterations of Miss Croft later, the Tomb Raider franchise has been made available on just about everything.

So, if you’re wondering if Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is able to run on the Steam Deck console, then here’s everything you need to know.

Yes, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is playable on the Steam Deck.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered has been given Valve’s highest acclamation, with the updated platformers being fully verified for the Steam Deck. According to Steam, it is fully functional on the handheld console, without having to tinker with the in-game settings.

With how easy-going the PC requirements are for Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, it’s unsurprising that the game passed Valve’s testing with golden colors. The game only requires a Nvidia GT730 or AMD R7 240 equivalent graphics card, an Intel i3 3240 or AMD FX 4100 CPU and a measly 4GB of RAM.

While the original three Tomb Raider adventures has received an overhaul of enhanced graphics, it’s still not intensive enough to push the Valve handheld to its limits. In Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered there’s also the option of switching to the original 32-bit versions of the games, which the Steam Deck is more than capable of handling.

You’ll need 5GB worth of install space free to download Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. While that’s not a lot by today’s standards, even the least demanding PC games can add up and leave you wishing for more precious storage space.

Picking up one of the best microSD cards for Steam Deck will ensure you have plenty storage to raid tombs and lock everyone’s favorite in-game butler in the freezer. Especially if you haven’t yet upgraded the SSD, or managed to add the 1TB Steam Deck OLED to your gaming setup.
